Candy Cane Christmas

I had my December card-making class this weekend and had 10 attendees. Lovely group of ladies. I made the mistake of going out to dinner the night before instead of getting those last minute things done...like stuffing the envelopes with each project and getting the framelits out of their packs so my guests knew which ones to use. Both of these were small jobs that would not have taken me long to do, but I figured I would have time in the morning. I didn't and then once my ladies started arriving, I got easily side-tracked and frazzled. Felt like forever before I finally got my act together. Learned my lesson, won't let that happen again.

This card has a belly band that holds it closed. I got the idea from a card I saw of Mary Deatherage. I used the Candy Cane Lane DSP and cut out lots of options.

We used the Candy Cane Lane washi tape for decorating the inside.

I love this card and made a bunch.

Cute little Bella

Today is a snow day! Kids are happy. Mama, not so much. I have a workshop on Saturday and lots to do. I still have 2 cards to plan, cutting of supplies, and getting everything together for the making of said cards. Oh, and clean house. I have a feeling school will be cancelled tomorrow too. The snow will melt and then it will get cold again and everything will freeze. Happens every year.

This cute little card was made at one of my workshops. Isn't this doggy so cute?!?!

I gave 2 options for colors. We used Blender Pens and the ink pads to color in the cupcake and heart.

Ink:  Basic Grey, Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry

Quick and Easy Card

Good day! It's a dreary morning, the kind where you curl up on the couch with a cup of coffee and a good book. Sounds lovely. Not gonna happen, I have a bathroom to clean, work to do, and a kid who doesn't have school today. In fact, the kids want to go to the zoo later. In this weather? It's actually the best time to go to the zoo in my opinion. No one is there and the animals are out.

I was making a "flyer" for a bazaar I was doing and needed some cute cards to show examples of some we make at my workshops. I saw this on Pinterest (by Judy May) and decided to go with it. I didn't change much because I was short on time. The cake has Wink of Stella on the frosting and candles, to add a little shimmer. Very quick and easy.

Supplies:
Stamps: Endless Birthday Wishes
Ink: Archival Basic Black, Melon Mambo
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Whisper White, It's My Party DSP

Fairy Celebration

Hi! Hope you are all having a good day! I've gotten so much accomplished this week. I got the house cleaned and lots of crafting done for the Holiday Bazaar next month. I had to place an order a couple days ago because I ran out of ribbon to finish up my tags/boxes. Of course, I had to order other stuff too. So when my favorite man dressed in brown drops it off, I have to stay focused and finish up what I have before I start others.

This card was a card we made at my September workshop. I love this stamp set, although I had a tough time figuring a layout for the card. The inside is stamped "May your wish come true." We used the blender pens to color the fairy in and then we used Dazzling Diamonds to add some sparkle. Because fairies sparkle, right?

Supplies:
Stamps: Fairy Celebration
Cardstock: Pool Party, Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Old Olive, Pool Pary, Real Red, Wisteria Wonder

Kids are back in school!! Love & Affection card

Good morning!  Abigail is at school right now and I am getting so much done. Jack is still home, he goes back tomorrow. That will be an even more productive day. I know so many moms are sad to see their kids go back to school. Don't get me wrong, I miss them and wonder all day how they are, what are they doing, are they enjoying themselves...but I love schedule and getting stuff done that needs to get done. Summer is pure chaos and it really stresses me out. Hopefully it gets better as the kids get older. Fingers crossed.

I had a little get-together with all the other ladies in my downline last week and we had a card swap. It's so much fun to get other cards from other demonstrators. Everyone has different stamp sets and styles. I made my swap card using the Love & Affection stamp set and Affectionately Yours DSP.

Endless Birthday Wishes

Where is the summer going? When school got out, it seemed like it would take forever to send the kids back to school. And now I can believe how fast the summer has gone by. We've been so busy that I didn't plan a July workshop and I won't be having an August one either. For sure in September! I ordered some cute new stamp sets out of the new catalog that came out in June and I can't wait to use them. They are sitting on my desk, collecting dust. Soon, I hope.

We made this shaker card at my June workshop. I can't tell you how many times I messed up designing it/putting together. First I put the dimensionals all the way around the hole in the card and then realized that I forgot to put the clear window sheet. So I made another and put it all together and realized that I forgot to stamp my sentiment. When I tried that, the dimensionals around the hole made it impossible to get clear wording. I saved my mistakes so my ladies that come to workshops can see. They always joke that my cards are perfect.

A Nice Cuppa...

Hello! We have had some very hot, unusual weather these last couple days. It was in the 100's this last weekend and 90's the first part of the week. We are expecting rain for the next couple days which will be nice for the yard, but not nice for me because my sister and I are going to Bend for some lounging by the pool and girl time. Sad face.

I made this ensemble for Mother's Day. I love this stamp set and matching framelits. Very bummed it did not make it into the new catalog that came out June 1st.

I'm back!

Hi! My computer died a long while ago and I bought a new computer, but it gave me problems most of the time so I just gave up on most things I used to do with it. It died and I got a new one and now I'm slowly getting back into the things I used to do. Which means I'm not getting much of other stuff done.

Anyhow, I have a lot of cards to show you all and now I just need the time to get them posted. Hopefully I can do a couple a week. We will see...my gremlins are just about out of school and probably won't let me "play" much.

The cards I'm showing today are from a workshop I had a couple months ago.

The bike card is from Sale-a-Bration and the set was called Pedal Pusher. I used the blender pens and ink pads to color in the bike/basket. It was a fun set and I like how the card turned out. I CASED (Copy And Share Everything) the balloon card from another demonstrator and I can't remember who, but I saw it on Pinterest. Love the color combo. It uses Gumball Green which is retired, but it's my favorite green and worked well with the other colors. Wink of Stella was used on the bow and bottoms of balloons, but you can't see it in the picture.

Stamp Sets:  Pedal Pusher (retired), Hardwood Background, Balloon Celebration
Ink:  Basic Black Archival, Crumb Cake, (Blender Pen and ink pads - Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Smokey Slate), Basic Black Archival, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green
Cardstock:  Crumb Cake, Pacific Point, Watercolor White, Calypso Coral, Whisper White
Accessories:  Blender Pen, Washi Tape, Balloon Punch, Wink of Stella

This card uses the Sprinkles on Top set and the Cherry on Top DSP. I LOVE these bright colors. Isn't the donut cute??

Stamp Sets:  Sprinkles on Top (retired)
Ink:  Bermuda Bay
Cardstock:  Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Cherry on Top DSP
