Sitting Here

Hi! Just sitting here, writing this post and wondering how time gets away from me. It's been a while since I've posted.
This is a card we made at March's card class. The coloring took a little while, but the rest of it came together rather quick. It's a basic card, nothing too fancy. We cut the pillows out and used a dimensional on the top one. Some of my ladies stamped a dog and others stamped a pot of flowers instead of the cat.

Stamp Set: Sitting Here, Sheltering Tree
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Old Olive, StazOn (black)

Sale-A-Bration Party Pandas

Sale-A-Bration is going on now and one of the sets that you can get for free (with a $50 order) is Party Pandas. These little guys are so cute. I had 3 different designs that were options to make at my February class.

I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest. I just looked to get the name of who posted the card and I can't find it. I went with colors that would go with the little Tutti-frutti adhesive-backed sequins found in the Occasions catalog. I love these things. They make it so easy.

Stamp Set: Party Pandas (sale-a-bration)
Cardstock: Basic Black, Bermuda Bay, Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Berry Burst, Black StazOn, Bermuda Bay, Berry Burst, and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Write markers

Hello! What a beautiful weekend! We made this card at my April card class, just in time for Mother's Day.

I loved the colors that Marisa Gunn used on her card and so I used the same. It's a great color combo. This stamp set and matching framelits are a lot of fun to use. I have lots of ideas, just need more time.

Ink: Flirty Flamingo, Garden Green, Peekaboo Peach, Pumpkin Pie, Watermelon Wonder, Wild Wasabi, StazOn Black

Jar of Love

Wowzers! Today is a windy day. All the surrounding cities are without power, but mine. The lights did flicker but didn't go out. We rarely loose electricity in my town. I have a card class tomorrow so I have lots of card prep to do today. Good thing I don't need electricity to do it.

I love the Jar of Love stamp set. I'm using it at tomorrows class for a Mother's Day card. We made this card at my February card-making class. One of the ladies stamped her bow in daffodil delight because she said bows should never be black. I never thought of that, but I sort of agree with her so I made more of these cards with daffodil delight or tempting turquoise bows. I like how they turned out better, but used them before I got a picture.

My monthly card-making class is tomorrow so I better get going on the card prep.

Ink: Daffodil Delight, StazOn Black, Tempting Turquoise

Rain, Rain Go Away

Goodness, this rain is so depressing. It just keeps raining. We might get one nice day and then BAM, it's raining again. I can't wait for summer. Or spring. Maybe seeing some flowers will make it not seem so dreary.

This card is one we made at my month card-making class. We were not writing thank yous to Mother Nature when we made this card. Although, we are thankful for the rain, the abundance is a bit much.

This stamp set is one that you could get free with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration. I love the Thank You in big cursive letters.

Stamp Set:  Love & Affection, So Very Much
Cardstock:  Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Affectionately Yours DSP
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy, Watermelon Wonder

Bronze Embossing!

*I wrote this post a while back and forgot to publish it*

I love everything about the Affectionately Yours Suite! The DSP is so pretty. There are 2 sheets in this pack that have copper in it and it's so beautiful. There are 2 embossing folders and washi tape that match this suite. I bought the copper thread and copper embossing powder to go along. I have so many ideas for this set...all I need is more time.

We made this card at one of my monthly classes. I let the ladies pick their coordinating colors and sentiment. They all turned out very nice.

Stamp Set: Love & Affection, Party Pants (retired)
Cardstock: Mint Macaron, Night of Navy, Watermelon Wonder, Whisper White, Affectionately Yours DSP
Ink: VersaMark Pad

Candy Cane Christmas

I had my December card-making class this weekend and had 10 attendees. Lovely group of ladies. I made the mistake of going out to dinner the night before instead of getting those last minute things stuffing the envelopes with each project and getting the framelits out of their packs so my guests knew which ones to use. Both of these were small jobs that would not have taken me long to do, but I figured I would have time in the morning. I didn't and then once my ladies started arriving, I got easily side-tracked and frazzled. Felt like forever before I finally got my act together. Learned my lesson, won't let that happen again.

This card has a belly band that holds it closed. I got the idea from a card I saw of Mary Deatherage. I used the Candy Cane Lane DSP and cut out lots of options.

We used the Candy Cane Lane washi tape for decorating the inside.

I love this card and made a bunch.

Cardstock:  Early Espresso, Real Red, Whisper White, Candy Cane Lane DSP
Ink:  Early Espresso, Real Red
